I've not given up, I'm still working on it :) Currently not finding as much time for it as I'd like though... I actually have a new version of the priority inheritance patch finished now and it works very fine here. However I still need to do more tests and benchmarks before I want to release it, to make sure it's not buggy like the last one... btw, while doing tests with my new computer with dualcore-CPU I found that it's easy to cause these freezes/glitches with 2 CPUs as well, you just have to put enough load on both cores.. so it's not limited to single-processor machines. I'm suppose you can even have it on a quadcore (although I can't test that) with enough system load. Currently I'm trying to find the reason for remaining glitches that are not solved by my patch. Although it significantly reduces the number of glitches on my machine under load, they can still occur under certain conditions. From what I've gathered so far, it seems to be a different problem unrelated to mutexes and priorities, I'm currently investigating that and hope to solve that too. Regards, Julian
