Most of the time people will be using the archives on Haiku systems anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about Linux now. With xattr storage on Linux, the data is still there, so a future utility program that understands endianness and data types might be used to convert the attributes to corresponding Linux attributes. But for now, having Haiku utilities for an archive format which stores attributes and can handle arbitrarily big files would be great! - Alex
