They can be run wherever we want. Cloud, baron, your desktop. All the
buildmaster setup is pre-configured. Pass an architecture and you
have
a command prompt ready to manage builders + fire off builds. "It's
just a chroot"
You can still use the buildmaster stuff without the container as
well.
Not sure how often I said this already, but please use vmweb for
this.
But no one gave me a way to login there.

Thanks :-)
We really need to focus on our infrastructure that has to be
customized.
(build systems, downloads, etc).
Lets keep this stuff easy. Nobody has time to play sysadmin anymore.
Anyway, I got off topic on the last email.
Here are the machines on baron:
baron
Running vm's and download.haiku-os.org
vmweb
Decommission per
https://dev.haiku-os.org/wiki/vmweb-decom
vm-site
Running new forums. Potentially moving to hosted (free 501(c)
hosting
from discourse) once we have the blog comments imported.
vmdev
Running trac
vmrepo
Running git + cgit + hooks
vmweb and vm-site could potentially go away to make space but will need
time
to be completed. Everything is pretty tangled. vmweb is still hosting
the
redirect from haiku-org -> www.haiku-os.org (netlify)
Now that haikuporter buildmaster can run in a container, the setup
only takes a few minutes and generated artifacts + build logs are
extremely
portable.
We could set up a vm @ Hetzer, run the package buildmasters there for a
month or two,
and only spend a few minutes extra moving them to baron once space is
cleared
up.
