They can be run wherever we want. Cloud, baron, your desktop. All the
buildmaster setup is pre-configured. Pass an architecture and you have
a command prompt ready to manage builders + fire off builds. "It's
just a chroot"

You can still use the buildmaster stuff without the container as well.

Not sure how often I said this already, but please use vmweb for this.
But no one gave me a way to login there.

Thanks :-)

We really need to focus on our infrastructure that has to be customized.
(build systems, downloads, etc).

Lets keep this stuff easy. Nobody has time to play sysadmin anymore.

In addition to the above, Baron:
  * Is running an unsupported version of openSUSE
  * Requires man-hours we don't have for updating patching, etc.
* *SLOW* to anyone outside of Europe. I ordered some VM's and did some tests...

    I've heard Jessicah complaining :-)

Most places outside of Europe get ~200KB/s meaning the download of Haiku
takes ~30 minutes regardless of your connection size.

This should be solved somewhat when we have a single R1 release we can
pass off to mirrors... however just illustrating a point that baron
isn't the *ideal* server for us where we should put all of our eggs.
