"How about expanding the label to "C(Esc)", or if there's room "Clr(Esc)"?" I don't think this is necessary. Leave the label as "C" and colour the button (orange or red are generally considered suitable colours here). I would suggest most users nowadays know that the ESC key does a clear entry without the need for it to be in the label. You could put "Clear Entry [Esc]" in the Burton's tooltip I guess, if you really want belt and braces. The iOS "PCalc" app is a great representation of a calculator app. IMO of course. — Sent from Mailbox for iPhone On Tue, Sep 3, 2013 at 2:57 AM, Pete Goodeve <pete.goodeve@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > On Mon, Sep 02, 2013 at 07:11:33PM +0000, SoulHunter wrote: >> I just submitted a patch in the enhancement ticket >> https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/9944 , >> >> If you want to try it, just apply the patch to the deskcalc source and give >> me some feedback >> > OK -- I did install the patch, and it looks good to me. > My only doubt is, like you, the "C" button.
