Beyond that, how about an add-on that automatically retrieves IMDB data
for movies? :-)


yes in principle no problem, but don't know exactly what to do if no network connection is established. There is no mechanism at the moment to retry files if an add-on fails to analyze it...

By the way what do you think about putting registrar mime-type sniffing functionality into the index server? for example, for a media partition this would be desirable to have the mime type for all files. For a source code partition (keyword compiling performance) this and a indexer in general is probably not the best idea...
