I thought about surrounding the Installation type part by a BBox, as it
is shown on the picture. This makes the application look more tidy and
groups all installation type specific features together.

Did you also try to move the "Installation type" drop-down into the
title section of the BBox? Like here:

Just a thought. In this case it might not be necessary because it's
the only widget in the box, but it would be good to know what looks
better.

I've also thought that the window tab should omit the ":" sign. "Install
CoolApp" looks more user friendly than "Install: CoolApp" IMO. These are
just minor differences, so I won't object if the team decides about
their removal.
