[guispeak] Re: : Microsoft ebook reader and the *.lit format. - method of converting

The question then becomes, how good is the result? I guess the answer will
vary depending on how the .lit file is composed much the way pdf is composed
and this also goes to the security issues. Will this conversion process
intrude through security?

method of converting

there exits a command line program called convert lit
convert lit converts lit files into html files.
info is here:
http://www.kyz.uklinux.net/convlit.php
as of this date, a windows version may be downloaded at:
http://www.convertlit.com/clit18.zip

a gui front end for the command line version is available here:
http://www.hot.ee/dukelupus/ConvertLIT.htm
the download link is:
http://www.hot.ee/dukelupus/ConvertLIT%20GUI%20v2.0.exe

i have not yet tested the gui 2.0 as to it's speech reader friendliness.

there also exists a set of batch files that allows the conversion program
to be associated with the right click menu to allow easier use
this worked with c lit 1.5 but i have not tested it with 1.8.
i do not see a source for these right click files available in a quick
check on google.

r. a. d.
whether the blind loophole in the copyright law applies to this is a =
legal
matter that i have not heard anyone address.
