my dog does the same Julia ,in the house or when I am out .if she cant nudge
my hand then she will nudge my leg . dulcie started it when I would call her
in from outside and she is that quiet I would not know she was near me so when
I called her again she would nudge my hand or leg ..I have no idea what she
thinks ,just that is the way she knows how she communicates with me ,donna

They probably do know but wouldnt reason it out. Mine touches my hand with
her nose to get my attention, but doesnt do it to the rest of the family. My
hubby once said when he took my Border Collie for a walk, and that wasnt
often she never stayed that close to him, but she would never go far from
me, I think its the same with Wren too. But that might be more to do with
the fact that I'm her handler, her pack leader.
Julia
