Thanks lots for your suggestion.
I had been wondering if I could put the mmaps on a different card. I'll see what I can do. It might take me awhile to the have the time to transfer the informationn.

You can also put the maps on any type of storage media, as long as it has enough space. I am not sure if you have the program or not, but you can just transfer the maps and other data from the CF card. You can also use a PCMCIA adapter in the side slot; as long as the CF card itself is not the problem, the adapter should work fine. Just change the setting in gps > options > map and poi folder to the current drive/directory in which all maps and pois end up.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [gps-talkusers] gps saga

Hello all
I had someone see why I couldn't load the cf cards. We
discovered that a couple of the pins are bent so I guess I will have to wait to wirk on the gps until I can send my unit back to get fixed. That will be a few months before I can aford it. Is their anything I can do about learning the gps until I am able to learn how to use the gps itself?
Thanks lots for your help.
Everyone on this list has been great.
Rita
