The best accessible GPS solution for Sybmian phones, at the moment will have
to be WayFinder Access, which will provide all of the information available
in the commercial WayFinder product with the added blind specific needs.

Honestly, I don't see Sendero porting the SDK to a Sybian platform any time
soon as the SDK is written specifically for Windows devices. It will take a
lot of work and may not even work properly as a result of there not being
Linux and Symbian versions of the various required engines. I see there
being something similar to the KNFB Reader Mobile product being available on
a Windows Smartphone or Pocket PC device before the SDK will be made
available and work under Symbian.

I am not really sure why we would want to take steps in the opposite
directions and work on getting the Sendero GPS to work again on a PC. I
think that it is great that we now have the Sendero GPS available on the
BrailleNote and VoiceNote mPower and BrailleNote PK; GW Sense Navigation
(Powered by the Sendero GPS SDK) on the Braille Sense Plus, Braille Sense
and Voice Sense; and the soon to be released Mobile Geo (Powered by the
Sendero GPS SDK) on Windows Smartphones and Pocket PC devices. Yes, there
are a few other GPS solutions but I am a fan of the Sendero GPS and those
who are powered by the Sendero GPS SDK.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi

That would be a very interesting idea. There is currently no 'high-end'
navigation aplication for the Symbian platform.
