The other thing you can do is if your computer has a working sD or CF card reader, just do the auto installer and point it to your SD card. When the system is done copying the files you can then manually move the "sense Navigation" folder from your SD/CF card to the flash disk of your Braille Sense.
Once the folder is moved do a hard reset. On 3/26/2013 11:01 AM, Chris Grabowski wrote:
Hi, Make sure your Braille Sense is set to use mass storage device mode It is in global options. If that item is off it won't see it as removable storage. You can install gps on another computer that is working with your braille sense. Within PC GPS select help and remove the license when done and everything is fine. It only appears to be my computer that is not recognizing the braillesense. I have had a sighted friend look at things on the computer end, and have tried on other laptops owned by friends and all works as it should be on their pc's, but I only get results on my computer when I turn off mass storage device mode. Once that is turned off, the folders and files come up and I can at least still copy files to the unit. If anyone has suggestions on how I might fix this issue, suggestions are welcome, but my main question to this list concerns pc gps licensing. Say down the track when I use up my 3 license keys on 3 computers and they all crash and there is no way to recover the license or uninstall the program beforehand, how would I go about renewing my license? Then, I put a sufficiently large SD card in the card reader of the PC. I followed the instructions on the PC maps program on the PC and the program took care of the rest. It copied and installed the entire deal on the SD card and it worked from the Apex when I put the card in and ran the GPS software install and put in my license number.
