Hi, different settings are used in different situations. Personally I love all of the LookAround stuff on even in a car, it gives me an image of buildings I'm passing and can then converse with other passengers> The distances increase themselves. when in a car going 30 to 40 mph I will get the approaching turn message around 0.3 miles out where when I am walking the approaching turn message is 250 feet. These numbers are using the default of 50 feet. I sometimes like intersections repeating, I also like turns repeating Hope this helps.
