Hello Jan, Sendero already has South Africa available for all our product lines. It includes South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho. Thanks. So, does anybody out there know if there might be any plans for that? A long time ago I asked a simular question, but then I was told that maps were not available. Now, wayfinder did work here, and there are many maps from tele atlas and other providers for this country now. It would be nice to know if this is in the pipeline. I know some users of gw micro products like the voice sense, but they can not use sensenav products as there are no maps available for our country. Would be glad for any info in this regard. I can assure you that was not our intent and to some degree we are at the mercy of our POI and map data providers. We had major POI restructuring to try and consolidate and reduce the number of POI categories and remove duplicates. We are always striving to do better with each release. We did inform the POI company that there were missing POIs in that release and they told us this should be fixed in our next release of the data we get. Fingers crossed that the Hospitals and schools which were missing will show up again. This lack of data was detected during Beta but there was nothing we could do but report the issue to TeleAtlas and wait for them to look into and eventually fix the problem. As for the terminology try switching to UK English and see if this better fits with Australian. If this still doesn't completely solve the problem Sendero could consider having a third option of Australian English and modify those strings to match what you normally expect, If you would like to provide us a list of all the strings which should be changed we can see about adding Australian English to our product if UK English doesn't solve your problem. As for your City issue. During beta testing this past year one of the UK beta testers noticed this problem in the UK which has a similar situation so a code change was made to also include the county along with the city information. It wasn't until the final release candidate did one of the beta testers from Australia complain that they wanted this change as well. So unfortunately this wasn't added just before a release. FYI, we had 4 beta testers from Australia in our beta team. For our next release we will make this change also for Australia. To make sure this will fix your issue please ask for detailed city information with Space C / Read C and check if the information you want is in the County field, or maybe for Australia it's the Burrow or Neighborhood field. However I was quickly disappointed by what I found (or more to the point what I didn't find). I have always promoted Sendero GPS to my friends as the best product for our travel needs, however, at the moment I'm not too sure. The first, and very major thing was that I couldn't find railway stations, there were a few listed, but certainly none on the lines that I was travelling on. For some reason unlike the older version they have been changed to 'Transit Stop', a term we don't ever use in this country and with no mention of railway station. Absolutely useless, especially as there are some listed as railway stations and some listed as this transit stop, assuming of course that nothing else like trams or buses are listed as transit stops too, then we'll all get lost! Also there is the 'city' problem. We are different from the USA, when it reads out the city it's reading out the municipal council district, not the actual city that you're in, so if you're going down a long stretch of the Nepean Highway which goes for miles and miles, you have no idea if you're in Moorabbin, Bentleigh, Highett, Cheltenham or any of the other suburbs that are in the council of Kingston, becasue it just reads Kingston, so in other words you're lost. The major hospital I was going to wasn't listed (I'm sure it used to be), unless it's be put in the wrong category, I'm still searching for that. After every single POI the tags are read out so after every POI you also get RMF which drives you crazy, is there some way to turn that off?? I'm afraid I don't like the upgrade and am annoyed at the fact that I've paid hard earned money for a product (and SMA) that is not up to the standard of the older version. I sincerely hope that further ugrades take into consideration that more attention needs to be given to other countries other than the USA as you're marketing this product to the world.
