If you just insert the correct number of measures, Lime should make one multiple rest of all those measures. Here are some tips: - When you insert measures, be aware of the radio buttons: 'Insert All Measures on Current System" and : Start New Systems or Pages:" and "Measures per System". - If your time signature is incorrect, Lime will not combine the rests. - Rests can be forced to not be combined by selecting the rest or rests and selecting 'Don't Combine Rest' from the Note menu. - Adding annotations to a rest will prevent it from being combined. I have a number of questions, but will start with this one first. Is it possible to insert a multiple measure rest symbol with the number of bars to rest above it using the Lime Aloud scripts? I have searched throughout Lime, the scripts user's guide, and the list archive, but haven't found anything on how to do multiple measure rests. Right now, I am indicating the number of bars to rest using the rehearsal notes annotation, but know a multiple measure rest symbol with a 24 above it would look far better for sighted readers of the chart. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
