Plus of course if you use the full words, searching code becomes a lot
easier. No need to try and work out the abbreviation.

In my experience this makes daily coding really hard, as you struggle to remember the exact syntactic name of a function or variable because somebody else on the team was cute with abbreviations.
For example: take the word "channel". Do you write SetChannel( ... ) SetChan( ... ) SetChn( ... ) SetCh( ... )
