Yeah, my host will sound different from one with aliased control
signals. i.e. better.

As per the diagram. Look closely. Each green ramp is sent *after* the MIDI event. The result, excellent reconstruction.
Ah, I did not notice that. That's a fine answer, but you have to admit

host which does it even slightly differently => host coloring. Again,
that's not bad, it's reality.
