[gmpi] "copy protection" and/or host services

there was an excellent suggestion made during our discussions about
the idea of allowings plugins+hosts to have an out-of-band
conversation, for example to establish if the plugin can run in the
host (think of "builtin" plugins for a given DAW).
i can see no mention of the idea in the document. was it nixxed, or
has it just vanished?
