Hi Jack,

Thanks very much for the compliments, yes, Elizabeth is on violin and I was playing guitar, although I had a tricky job of both being the sound engineer and guitarist at the same time! It was recorded in our home, but when listening to the CD it has a nice sound to it and considering the equipment I had at the time it was a nice job I think (says I modestly).

That was 2003, we had a Scottish dance band going and did all sorts of venues including weddings etcetera. I can't believe four years has past, I'm a stronger player now by far, I picked up the guitar 2001 and that album is accompaniment only. If you could locate the video of you playing that would be great, out of interest which piece (or tune as the Scot's say) did you think had a similar structure to your championships?

I know this is all rather off-topic but it's fun.

Best wishes,

Steven.

Dear Steven,
I enjoyed the previews of the CD; it reminded me of Jimmy Shand! Is Liz the violinist in the group and did you play the guitar? I remember once playing a piece with a similar structure as a duo at the National Harmonica Championships. I played my two foot long chord harmonica with my friend playing the melody on chromatic harmonica. I can't quite remember the tune's name but I might be able to locate it on a video of us playing.

Regards

Jack
