Neville, if ever there was, or could be, an answer to the catholics, like me, that supports the Bible Alone thesis , this is it. There is no doubt that Jesus supported Scripture. However His coming into the world, changed everything. God was in the world speaking and passing on His WORDS and authorising His apostles to preach them to the world. OK . I have to admit that I do not understand what Dan means. To me "word" is referencing to "be it done to me according to Thy word" Thus Jesus became "word" according to the word of Mary. Out of deference to the list constitution, as this has extended off topic, I would ask all respondents to reply direct to me. unless Neville would prefer it to remain here. However, I will not respond on list if any wants to debate catholicism. Been there already. The scriptures inform us that the Sun, Moon and stars move. The scriptures say very clearly that the World cannot be moved. In particular, then, Jesus did not contradict this teaching. This was the point. If there were ever an instance of accepting what Christ says, or accepting what the Bible says, then I would, of course, adhere to Christ. There does not, though, seem to be any such conflict. Neville. Dan <danchap9@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: "The Bible is regarded as the true and inerrant word of God." Jesus is the true and inerrant word of God not the bible. Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. The word is a person not a book. The modern day book has been twisted in translation. Jesus God in flesh is the same yesterday today and for ever. Apart from that yes I subscribe to everything else. Dan. Scriptural instruction and the perception of our senses harmoniously indicate that the World is completely stationary, with the Sun, Moon and stars rotating about it.
