Also, I'm not sure what happens to the waypoints during a reset, i.e., if they are deleted or not. But Steve's answer is right; leaving it on for 15-30 minutes should automatically update its location. Anytime you move more than 150-200 miles with the unit off requires it to get the new satellite data, so a reset normally is not required.
