What kind of spider? The only one in North America that would put you in the
ER would be a Black Widow or a Recluse. A Wolf Spider would be sore as heck
but no poison unless you had an allergic reaction. A recluse would rot the
skin but you shouldn't notice it until after 24 - 48 hours. It might be
painful and swell but most people ignore it until the skin breaks. The only
other spider that would cause this is the hobo spider but they are found in
the Northwest.
Hope you have a speedy recovery. I would definitly talk to a lawyer. You
shouldn't have gotten bitten on a plane!

Hi all. I am writing this request from my cell phone,
so I am keeping this short. I was bit by a spider on
my flight from St. Louis to Albuquerque. My first week
here has included a twelve hour ER hell and four days
of bed rest. I am hopefully going to be well enough by
