Well said Jen! Jen Guyer <nyisutter@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:- Actually, nothing was said about finding caches in Bernie's post to the list. It was just berating people for not coming and supporting your efforts. Who knows why they didn't go. Maybe they had to work, couldn't afford it (saw some posts like that), had family obligations, didn't want to cache with 300 people on their heels, etc. And maybe I misinterpreted, but I do believe Bernie's intent was to make these people feel guilty because they aren't the dedicated geocachers he thinks they should be. I realize A LOT of work went into the event, but that is no excuse for coming back to the list and berating those who didn't participate for whatever reason. It's up to you how you handle the temp caches. But even if people could find the caches, they still won't not be reaping the benefits of the whole event. There was a lot more we missed by not be able to go than a few caches, that can't be experienced after the event. I am just tired of seeing those who have the time to put into events like this judge those who don't. You guys did a Fabulous job and we appreciate it. But not everyone on this list is going to be able to or even want to make caching a second profession.
