On the way into work I came up with the idea that turning it off before
moving a significant distance might cause this. I think losing reception but
leaving the unit on, in a tunnel for example, would be more likely, except
for the extreme high speed; even a train wouldn't go that fast (In the US, I
think they run 50-60 MPH). An airplane perhaps, and the signal onboard is
lousy unless you are near a window, so that may do it.
