All monies were distributed successfully the Friends amounts and the 9930 from
Students.
THe trip was a success and I will be putting my notes together into an e-mail.
There are a number of project ideas that have come about as a result of this
trip because in addition to meeting withe parents at 9 of the 13 schools we met
with MINED (the ministry of education) about the current running Saturday
School and the proposed afternoon high school for next year, UNAN Leon (local
University) about a Service Learning Convenio (UNAN students would go to Chac.
and teach and volunteer) and PRODESA regarding a major latrine effort which is
a much needed project in Chac. Plus I have updates on Nuevo Water (not all
good) and Literacy (better than we thought)
Lisa lets make sure we talk in the next couple days. Shari I would like to
speak with you too..
