Cool. Thanks for the info guys. I have a couple of 2200-EXX 8363s that I want to do the CF booting from. The higher-end 8364s seem to be alot easier to get to boot from CF. I did find a couple more interesting links: Dzuy Nguyen's COST $25 FirewallPresentation: <http://austinlug.org/staticpages/index.php?page=20030826201520430 > I sent a n00bie plea to the ALG list asking for some details from the presenter: <http://austinlug.org/archives/html/alg/2005-01/msg00244.html> A few notes from 2002 on booting PeeWeeLinux on 2200 using CF. Good information, but I'd like to see more details on the /etc/inittab tweaks that he did. <http://peeweelinux.com/list-archive/peeweelinux/2002-November/000851.html> The overall goal here is hooking these up to Linksys WRT54g wireless routers running Sveasoft's Linux distro in WDS (mesh network) mode...a very cheap way to wire a a entire neighborhood with basic internet access. I'm playing around with doing this setup using LTSP, but I'd like to eliminate the overheasd and make these boxes standalone CF booting :) Thanks again, --scm On Fri, 31 Dec 2004 18:39:23 -0500, Mike Cook <mikecook@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Some additional links specific to the 2200 > > grub on the netvista 2200 > http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-grub/2004-01/msg00072.html > > vmlinux or zImage instead of bzImage > http://peeweelinux.com/list-archive/peeweelinux/2002-November/000851.html > > Configuring the LTSP for an IBM NetVista 2200L Thin Client - HOWTO > http://csgrad74.math.uwaterloo.ca/~cdmicacc/netvista/Netvista-HOWTO.html#references > > A bunch of IBM Docs on Network Stations > http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/netcom/html/pub.htm > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Shawn Merdinger" <shawnmer@xxxxxxxxx> > To: <frgeek-michiana@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, December 29, 2004 7:30 PM > Subject: [frgeek-michiana] Netvista 2200 Boot from CF How-to? > > > Hi, > > > > There seem to be some real experts here on Netvista.
