an amuta in israel can not register in the usa.
to become a non-profit in the usa, you must set up a completely separate
and autonomous body in the usa. it can not be "friends of xyz" (the irs has
been cracking down on non-profits that act as a pass-through).

and there are dozens of websites that discuss what you need (documents,
board members, etc.). and you should consult with or hire a lawyer and/or
an accountant in the usa.
