Its a great idea, the only problem is applying it for a wide range of
personality types. It would take years to catalogue each and every
personality traits and define a set of levels for them. It's reasonable
for such things as vampire roads, but I can see problems when trying to
apply this over the wider range of human personality. Wouldi t be
possiblt to define a series of basic progressions that could be used to
define a personality? How annoying would players find this?

This has more possibilities, especially linking opposing traits with
various philosophies or religions. However, this is subtly different to
personality traits. The above represents a system of personal belief
rather than a system representing personalities.

I like the above idea: perhaps becomming a member of certain religions
requires a certain set of personality traits as prerequisites? Buddhism
might require a minimum level of Calm 3 to join, for example.

On the subject of the FRINGE personality traits as they stand, perhaps
we could simply remove and bonuses or penalties associated with them and
instead, simply have personality traits as a way of inspiring characters
to roleplay their characters... i.e. you get so many XP if you fulfill a
personality trait?

The final option is to simply not have personality traits for FRINGE, or
have them in an 'optional rules' section until we have a better-defined
system.
