OK,

I haven't heard of that, but I sort of believe you because of the following...

this has nothing to do with XP, BUT there is a known bug in some of
the Allen Bradley CNB(R) modules that causes them to freeze every
70.96 days. There is a Rockwell Note on this problem P155242786
there is another for a CNB(R) failing after 497 days Rockwell Note
A120646851 both from the Rockwell Knowledge Base. An AB firmware
upgrade fixes the problem. Rumor has it that some number gets
exceeded by a free running counter. ( I can't confirm this.)

So while I haven't heard of XP failing after this length of time, it
appears there is a magic number that needs to get reset after ~71
days on some items.

Perhaps you're not crazy after all, and even if you are, a little
paranoia never hurt anybody.

Regards,
David
