These may be why hackers attacks systems, but the reason why they
concentrate on MS products is because there as SO MANY of them. And for the
most part, they are not administered (read this as home PC). That said, we
must look to the future and weigh the possibility that the target OS will
become more important than the end effect ... meaning that hackers may
begin concentrating on Unix & Linux systems, because they are more likely
to be running business or infrastructure. At the risk of using an
controversial term, a "terrorist" doesn't care about personal PCs; he wants
to create the greatest effect. And if that involves shutting down a
refinery for a few weeks ...
