The error should be indicating which hard drive somewhere in array management
You have to shut the box down to preserve the operating system on the drive you
remove.
Make sure the HDD led's are not indicating thrashing on one hdd as there seems
to be no limit to number of read retries.
Shut the box down remove one drive and see if it boots OK rebuilding the spare
as it goes
If you have removed the good drive shut down again and install just the
original drive
Murphy's law states its always the other drive
As a WP you probably wont loose anything by trying one drive for a few days
then going back to the other drive without spare. There will be confusing array
messaging on boot but you want to "just boot" without any form of array
re-configuration
