I'm not sure if there is a "best practice".
Your idea of Windoze pulling a file might actually be easier...

Pretty straight forward, Brian.
In your script you should have something like:
ftp -n < yourftpcommands.ftp
yourftpcommands.ftp should look like this:
open targethostname
user theguest theguest
prompt
cd yourstoredir
put yourfiletostore.xxx
bye
The targethostname should be set up in /etc/hosts Your target host
should
have a non priveledged account like theguest And your target host should
run
a ftp daemon to accept the transaction.
We use RapidFTP from Lan Workplace Pro.
