They will never fix it. If they had you could copy the new detail display
file in and it might work, otherwise forget it.

It's like your using Windows98. No longer supported.

Subject: [foxboro] Detail Display AIN Deadband pick problem

I have the problem detailed below in this CAR. I wonder if it has fixed
because in the systems I have, the problem still exists. I have systems with
versions 6.2.1, 6.5.2 and 7.1 with DM and FV, and the detail displays have
not been fixed.
ISSUE:
Alarm deadband was not selectable for a particular AIN in SELECT, and yet
it was for other AIN blocks. The Deadband was not secured in the
configurator. When I changed the HLOP from 2 to 1, the DB parameter was
then selectable in the configurator. I was on the phone with TAC (RH) when
I discovered the work-around. Parameter was not selectable from either WP30
or Remote
Disp Mgr. on AW51.
HAL=      :AI1505_AIN.HAL.50
LAL=     -20.
HLPR=      1
HLGP=      1
HHAOPT=    0

RESPONSE:
11/07/97 - Response from TAC (LM):
Problem Workaround:
To enable the measurement deadband pick, "MEASDB", on the "ALARMS" overlay
for an AIN block when the "HLOP" option is set to 2, the following
procedure may be used:
       - Using the Display Builder, load display file
          "/usr/fox/dd/ain/AIN_09"
       - The measurement fields are covered over with filled
           rectangles and therefore should be moved for ease of
           selecting the rectangle pick for configuring. Therefore,
           place pointer in the right box under the "MEASUREMENT"
           section, select the field and move it to the right.
       - Save file and enter the Display Configurator.
       - Select the rectangle for the "MEASDB" field.
       - Select "DISPLAY" from the top menu bar.
       - Select "visibility" from the pull down menu.
       -  Set "State 2" to 1.
       - Select "ok" and save file.
       - Re-enter Display Builder and move the cover boxes to
          the original position.
Problem Action:
The correction for the AIN Alarm overlay for the 20 and 50 Series is
currently planned to be part of I/A Software Release V4.2.5 and V6.1.
This CAR is now closed
