Tom, you’re doing a great job! As our numbers increase our meetings are
becoming more structured, which is great. I agree that discussing our cases is
an important part of the learning / training process, as we learn from the
others’ experiences.
Not sure sweets are needed in my case, though! ;)
This has become a full time job for you, though. As our bench gets a little
deeper we should be thinking about leadership burnout, and how to share the
burden.

I want to thank everyone who attended. As time goes by we are growing as a
group. A few years ago when this group started again we had a total of 10 to
15 members, we now have over 30 members and hopefully still growing. At times
we still have a hard time filling the calendar but it's getting better. We
are a work in progress. We had discussions and concerns over how to proceed
on certain calls and I think that is a good thing. What I want to stress is
the more calls we go on, the more we will learn and hopefully be able to
share with our group the experiences that we had. We are human, we will make
judgement errors, it happens, no one is perfect. If you are not comfortable
with a situation, talk to your team member and please call me if you have any
concerns, I'll make a decision and if it's the wrong one I'll take the heat.
Our goal is to help people usually at their worst time and if they do not
want our help we will back off. I'd like to have our meetings more organized
and have water, decaf coffee and some sweets(cake or cookies). I also would
like to have guest speakers at every meeting and I think it's important to
discuss our past calls to our group, so we could learn from those
experiences. Training is good but hands on work is better. I apologise for
not being able to discuss our past calls for the month, we basically ran out
of time, we can go over them at our next meeting. Thanks for your time, just
remember we are a work in progress. Stay healthy, put yourselves on the
calendar and read your emails. God Bless, Tom.
