RE: veritas error with bad mail box

Hi,

Does the Veritas backup log make mention of the corrupted email subject
lines or any other identifier?
I had a similar problem when I tested my anti-virus software using
"virus" messages generated by the anitvirus.org site. One message was
left in my mailbox and the backup log reported it as a corrupted entry.
I used Exmerge to archive the corrupted message, which fixed my problem.
Note that it took a few tries to get exmerge to remove the corrupted
message.

        Again unfortunately I have some many people making mistakes
deleting things and having mail box level back up is mandatory for me.
So I thought there is a tool to identify those corrupted boxes

        Stop doing mailbox level backups and those errors will go away.

        All you need is a full, online backup of the store and a
reasonable deleted item/mailbox retention strategy.

        I had the same problem and still do.  I am not backing up the
mailbox with the problem.  I'm trying to get the user to archive and

        Hello
        I would appreciate any hint or comment on this

        I am getting error on 2 of my mail boxes using veritas and it
says there
        are some corrupted messages in those boxes. What tool should I
use to
        identify the corrupted mail and delete? On of them has almost
3000 mails
        which is impossible to check by hand

        Exchange 2003 with sp1 on server 2003
