Hi Syed

I don't think Norton picks it up, mail their support department and
inform them that sophos and trend both have had fixes since early last
year, the answer I'll bet will be quite humorous, Symantec's support
sucks mostly.

Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the response... but how come that Norton did not stop it in
the first place.. second.. how come u don't even find a mention of it on
Norton site.. .. they mention on the trend site that the risk rating is
low.. and also they claim that the test virus was not successful, but
now the entire net3work is down.
Anyways if u caome across any more information, please let me know
Thanks again though

Hi All,
We have Exchange 2000 on a member server and all users have outlook
2000. We are a complete Norton Anti-Virus network, but since 2 days ago
the network has been down. We have been struck by a virus called
Nofer.c, it sends out Emails to all people on the contacts.
Has anyone heard of a virus by this name, please let me know how to
clean it out, or should I simply re-install the machine back on again.
Regards
