Removing Exchange 5.5 and Configuring SMTP on Exchange 2003

Hi,
I have successfully migrated exchange 5.5 to exchange 2003. Now my exchange
2003 is showing two servers one is exchage 5.5 and other is exchange 2003.
I want to remove the exchange 5.5 server and configure smtp connector on
Exchange 2003, so that if a user sends a mail from exchange to any external
client it reaches there.
Please help me , how can I remove exchange 5.5 server and add smtp connector
to exchange 2003.
