so if you created the security group "Leathal Users" in the OU named leathal-users, and the OU is under the root, then the DN is CN=Leathal Users,OU=leathal-users,DC=smoothrunnings,DC=ca You can get the DN from ADSIedit as the KB articles suggest, if you don't know how to build it yourself. ________________________________ From: Andrew English [mailto:andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, May 20, 2005 11:14 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: OWA GC issues http://www.MSExchange.org/ I setup Security Groups; Leathal Users, Smooth Users, and Pixy Users and assigned them to the appropriate the user as Member Of. You have to have a separate security group associated with each OU. There is no direct way to build an address list filter based on "this user is in this OU". ________________________________ From: Andrew English [mailto:andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, May 20, 2005 7:28 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: OWA GC issues http://www.MSExchange.org/ This is out of control. Hehe Here's how I have it setup; my FQDN is smoothrunnings.ca, my UPN's are leathalproductions.com, and pixyblossoms.com, I have created recipients for leathalproductions, and pixyblossoms on top of the smoothrunnings.ca. My DNS currently is only setup for smoothrunnings.ca and not the two other domain names. When uses login to OWA they use either smoothrunnings/name, or name@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx So I want to setup the GC so that all the contact searches work under OWA, an they wont see other people from the other domains. Oh also under AD I have created OU's called leathal-users, pixy-users, and smooth-users and put the users who are associated to each group under the correct one. So I get to the filter -> User -> Member Of and make the value what for each one? Andrew ________________________________ From: Michael B. You just need to specify it to create the address lists. ________________________________ From: Andrew English [mailto:andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 19, 2005 10:43 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: OWA GC issues http://www.MSExchange.org/ So the question is how do I change the DN for each group?
