Oral Exams
To get rid of oral exams, and oral work in general, can be compared to
teaching medicine or any other skill.
That is, emphasize theory and cut out "hands on" practice.
The problem is not the oral exam. It is the emphasis on grammar and written
work and not on the basic use of language - verbal.
