Dear Anonymous,

If you are a coordinator in REED, you should know that the existence
of the Coordinators File is not new. It has ALWAYS has been
complimented and received with thanks, as a tool that helps
coordinators keep their work and their staffs organized.

If you are a coordinator in REED, you should know that counselors are
trained to be "teacher friendly". Our sole purpose for coming to
schools to visit is to HELP the coordinator and the teachers.

If you are a coordinator in REED, you should know that everything
which Avi and the dedicated counseling staff do is aimed at
professional development and improvement.

We will be asking to see Unit Planners in order to HELP teachers - not
to pass judgement. Judgement will be passed when the inspectors do
their random sampling of the students' logs, in their schools.
Counselor visits prior to this, are to help the English staff be sure
they are implementing the course successfully, and if there are any
misunderstandings, we can help clear them up in time.

The job of the REED counselor visits is to help teachers fulfil the
requirements of the literature program - but not only. We come to the
schools WITHOUT an agenda. Our starting point for a visit in a school
is: Where do you need my help? What can I do with you and your staff,
to help?

A coordinator and staff who do not want their REED counselor to visit
their school, can say so. Believe me, we have more than enough
coordinators and staffs that welcome us with open arms.

Adele
