The problem is probably because all the words (except "na") are
stressed.

This can be improved if some of the common "function words" are marked
as "unstressed" in eSpeak's ga_list file.

"na" is already unstressed, because its vowel [@] is marked as an
unstressed vowel.

In the eSpeak English voice, words such as:
the, this, any,
he, she, you,
in, of, at,
is, are, were, have, can,
and, or,

are unstressed.  Some are marked as unstressed, except at the end of a
sentence or before a comma.

To mark a word as unstressed, add it to the ga_list file with the
attribute $u, or $u+ for unstressed except at the end of a sentence.
For example:

ar    $u
go    $u
