The problem is probably because all the words (except "na") are stressed. This can be improved if some of the common "function words" are marked as "unstressed" in eSpeak's ga_list file. "na" is already unstressed, because its vowel [@] is marked as an unstressed vowel. In the eSpeak English voice, words such as: the, this, any, he, she, you, in, of, at, is, are, were, have, can, and, or, are unstressed. Some are marked as unstressed, except at the end of a sentence or before a comma. To mark a word as unstressed, add it to the ga_list file with the attribute $u, or $u+ for unstressed except at the end of a sentence. For example: ar $u go $u ===========================================================================The eSpeak-Gaeilge mailing list Manage account or unsubscribe: //www.freelists.org/list/espeak-gaeilge Archives: //www.freelists.org/archives/espeak-gaeilge Administrative contact: omeadhrac@xxxxxxx =========================================================
