Hey Saul, Sad that it is sold, but glad that is over for you now ... especially so you can focus on your "newer" '76! Hey ... I can see I have seen both of yours IN PERSON! :) Cort | 37.m.IL.pigValve.pacemaker | 5 Monte Carlos + 1 Caprice Classic | * CruiseNites_2011_Chi.IL * MCs.CC + CHD.models.HO.legos.RadioShows + RoadTrips.us66 = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort "Every song, another scene" __ Dierks Bently __ 'Every Mile A Memory' -----Original Message----- From: Saul Marsh <saulmarsh72@xxxxxxxxx> To: elky <elky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wed, Sep 7, 2011 4:55 pm Subject: [elky] Clustertruck is sold I sold Clustertruck today, to the owner of a local auto shop. Didn't get much for it...only $300. But the longer this dragged on, the more I thought about just donating it rather than dealing with the hassles of selling it. So now I have extra cash for getting the A/C rebuilt on my '76. New owner will use the engine in his '72 El Camino. He had a young nephew, who was the one that actually contacted me and seemed interested in my Sprint. On Monday I had a bunch of texts with someone else who was interested (I suspect it may have been the same kid). I can understand the use of "No texts" in a craigslist ad...I much prefer e-mail. Alot of lessons learned with the six years I have owned Clustertruck. I bought it from a co-worker the same week I sold my '72 Nova to a different co-worker. I had owned the Nova for 17 years and drove that old 4-door beater over 140,000 miles (on top of the 190k it already had on it). I had just bought a house at the time and wanted a truck, but one that would remind me of my old Nova...and chose a '73 Sprint. Looking back, Clustertruck didn't quite fit the bill, since my son was born shortly after I bought it, and I never drove it enough to have any stories to tell with it. I feel like I already have more stories to tell from my '76, which I just bought this summer. But it was fun the few times I used it, and I like being one of the rare fans of the '73-'77 models! And joining the El Camino list. Thanks everyone! Saul '76 GMC Sprint former owner of '73 GMC Sprint "Clustertruck"
