[on behalf of Avron Barr]

Dear Learning Technologists,

In January last year, the IEEE launched a two-year investigation of the
idea of "learning engineering:" defining an engineering practice and an
academic discipline around the work that we all do. The IEEE project,
called ICICLE <http://www.ieeeicicle.org>, attracted over 100 volunteers.
They have spent the last 14 months preparing sessions for a 3-day
conference about Learning Engineering's competencies, categories, academic
curriculum, technologies, underlying science, and relationships to other
disciplines and communities. Please join us for an interactive discussion
about the results of their work and about next steps for the Learning
Engineering community.

ICICLE 2019 will take place May 20-23 at George Mason University’s
Arlington Campus.

   - The registration/hotel site is now live, and earlybird rates are
