Trish, my fairy godmother! I've spent days trying to remember the title and
author of that book - parcel of patterns. I found it quite a harrowing
story, but having said that I'm now very interested in Year of Wonders.

Steve, There's also a book about the plague and the village of Eyam by Jill
Paton-Wolsh called "A Parcel Of Patterns", a much gentler read than "Year Of
Wonders, though still very sad.
