I too recall the sound of all those Stainsbys clattering, although, in
truth, a classroom full of Perkins wasn't a lot quieter!
I learned to write braille with a dotter and frame and this meant 1 2 3 was
on the right so my first Stainsby I chose also had the 1 2 3 on the right.

I remember the sound of a class of stainsbys. I think the teachers must all
have had loud voices.
