Hello, Kusty, how are you?
I'm using an Asus Eee PC netbook series with linux ubuntu 04.10 lts (LUCID),
and Java 7
ozzy ozzy @-laptop: ~ $ java -version
java version "1.7.0_80"
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_80-b15)
Java HotSpot (TM) Client VM (build 24.80-b11, mixed mode)
Finally completes the assembly of TOAD4 controller in a picDEMusb (microchip),
firmware with toad4-1.5.6-4.hex and EazyCNC-0.0.0.25a interface (32b), because
my system is 32bits
ozzy@ozzy-laptop:~$ file /bin/bash | cut -d' ' -f3
32-bit
My question is: when I press the 'RUN' key, we have the message in the dialog
box:
'motor controller is not connected'
I followed your recommendations:
... just enter 'ttyACM0' in Mach Setup / Comm Port / Port:
And Then click MACH, it should work now...
I am using crystal of 4 MHz. Use L297 and L298N drivers. The signs are that use
step, dir enable, and the green LED flashes in rb4 around 1Hz. The terminal
recognizes the TOAD4:
ozzy ozzy @-laptop: ~ $ dmesg | grep ttya
[63394.447602] cdc_acm 1-2.4: 1.0: ttyACM0: USB ACM device
I tried to change the permissions, still did not work:
sudo su
chmod a + rw / dev / ttyACM0
Do you have any idea what can I do?
Thank you!
