Hi Lisa, When you say "publisher's files", it can actually cover a fairly wide spectrum, but generally speaking these days, they are tending to be in an XML tagged format. (with the greater than and less than tags) Duxbury can import these files, and generally speaking does quite a good job of it. Indeed there are enhancements being made for 10.5. Duxbury's editor is limited in what it can do. DBT is primarily a translator, and does not have the power and performance of a full blown word processor such as WordPerfect or Word for Windows. That said, again there are enhancements coming along in the next release. As regards macro capability, again this is not currently a feature, though may well be for a future release, but not the next. Meanwhile, there is a Macro add-on available. When Neal Kuniansky returns to the duck pond (on 1st October) I'll ask him to post details of this. Thank you for my response on this matter. I was wondering how many people on this list have dealt with publishers's files and would this be a major problem for blind people to do Braille transcription once they complete their certification in the Literary Braille code. On another topic, I noticed that Duxbury doesn't have a feature that allows something that is in uppercase to be changed to lowercase and vice versa. I don't think that Duxbury have the ability to create macros like you could in either Wordperfect or Microsoft Word.
