Hi Theresa I read from your message that you wanted the print page numbers to start at 7, but you didn'tt say that about the braille. So, if this is correct, when you go to set up the braille page numbers, make sure they start at 1 or whatever number you want. The default start page number at the moment is 2, but I understand this will change to 1 when 10.5 comes out. Also, have you used the [lea] code every time you want a new print page number to start? If you use this code, then put the print page number after the close bracket, this should put a line across the braille page to indicate a new print page. So, you would have [lea]7 as your first print page number to make them start at 7. Even if this is on braille page 1, this will do the trick. You have to manually tell dbt where you want each print page number to start and put the numbers in yourself. No doubt there are other ways but this is what I was taught and it works for me. I've never had braille page numbers starting in the top right as well as print pages in the same document. Whenever I come across this, it's in textbook format, and the braille page numbers are in the bottom right, while the print pages appear in the top right. You can change this though. Sometimes, print pages don't always start with a line indicator across the page, they start on a new physical braille page, so I'm not sure how you'll get on with where the print page numbers end up being positioned on your braille page when this happens. It depends on how the pagination works out when the document is translated in to braille. If you are using the textbook template, I would suggest going in to the page numbering dialog in the document menu as Dave has already detailed. The initial letter is p, not n however to open this dialog. Here you can choose the position of both braille and print page numbers on the page. The default settings if using the textbook template are for braille page numbers lower right, and print (or reference as dbt calls them) page numbers upper right. There isn't an option in here to have the braille page numbers in the upper right. There is an option however to use one set of numbers on the left and one on the right of a page, so I suggest you go in here and experiment to get what you want. If however you are using the standard textbook template, there is an option in this same page numbering dialog to have braille pages upper right, and reference pages either on the left of the page, or lower right. Hope this isn't too much detail, I'm sure others will chip in. I have indicated 'new page' for each print page. Now I am ready to output this in Braille using Duxbury. I want the output to show the braille page number in the top right corner of each brailled page. I want a 'dotted' line to indicate the end of a print page and the corresponding page number. In this case the first page number for the print document is 7. Help me set this up please. I have tried many things, but not getting what I want. Thanks. -- T.
