Hi Kathy,

I'm not sure I quite understand you here. Are you saying that when you import
the document to DBT you get the "# c-cedilla #" appear?

To be honest, I'm not surprised. First, DBT 10.2 does not support Word 2000,
and even 10.3 fell over importing these files.

If you are really back to the wall, I suggest you save the Word Document as
Plain Text and re-style it in DBT. Might be the quickest solution in the short
term.

George Bell.

Subject: [duxuser] STRIPPING OUT THE CODES

Hello Listers,

My employer wants me to Braille our employee handbook.
It is 146 KB in length.
It was, unfortunately, entered and printed by a sighted employee using MS Word
2000. So, there are lots of pretty codes that do nothing for the Braille copy.
 For example:
# c-cedilla #
Is there a quick way to strip out all these codes.
I am running version 10.2 for Windows 95.

Thank you.
