You might try stripping it down in MS Word before importing. Of course there's the search/replace command in DBT to remove many instances of the same offence, but that could take a while if there is a great variety of the formatting codes. -----Original Message----- From: duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of kathy lueders Sent: October 16, 2003 2:22 PM To: duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [duxuser] STRIPPING OUT THE CODES Hello Listers, My employer wants me to Braille our employee handbook. It is 146 KB in length. It was, unfortunately, entered and printed by a sighted employee using MS Word 2000. So, there are lots of pretty codes that do nothing for the Braille copy. For example: # c-cedilla # Is there a quick way to strip out all these codes. I am running version 10.2 for Windows 95. Thank you. Kathleen G.
